Homeowner Services
SkyeTec Mitigation Services works with property owners to evaluate the structure's current resistance against hurricanes and windstorms. The inspection process validates existing wind resistant features and provides reporting of potential upgrades to harden the structure to reduce or prevent damage in the event of a hurricane or windstorm.
SkyeTec has performed more than 90,000 wind inspections. Inspection results may save policyholders money on their windstorm insurance policy premiums. Commercial properties that are habitable structures are also eligible for windstorm mitigation credits on windstorm policies. This includes high rise multi-family condominiums or apartments, timeshare resorts and hotels.

Re-Inspections
If you have made retrofit hardening improvements to your home, you need the Re-Inspection to update your insurance form so you can potentially receive additional Windstorm Mitigation Credits on your premium. A SkyeTec inspector performs a second detailed wind inspection that documents existing wind resistant construction features on your home, which includes any completed upgrades.
Internal Quality Assurance Inspection
As a part of SkyeTec’s ongoing commitment to excellence, you may be randomly selected to receive a Quality Assurance (QA) Re-Inspection at no cost. A trained QA inspector verifies the accuracy of the initial wind inspection. If any discrepancies are found, you are provided with an updated form at the conclusion of the QA inspection.
The My Safe Florida Home Program reached its initial goals of providing 400,000 free wind inspections, and over 35,000 matching grants to single family Florida homeowners.
SkyeTec was selected as one of only eleven companies to be designated as a Wind Certification Entity (WCE) to inspect homes under the My Safe Florida Home Program. This state-funded program provided free wind inspections to eligible single family homeowners in Florida. During this program, SkyeTec performed more than 90,000 inspections, and educated property owners on hardening their buildings against hurricane strength winds and lowering their insurance premiums.
