Reliable service, people of integrity, construction and building science experts, mitigation industry leaders, strategic partners with research and education organizations, collaborative efforts with peers...this is what SkyeTec offers to property insurance companies who want and need a firm who will verify and validate wind resistant features on their policyholders' homes.

Quality Assurance Process: Our select QA Wind Inspectors are specifically trained on the accuracy and consistency concerns of previous OIR forms. With enhanced oversight and clarification from building science experts regarding prevalant errors, each file is reviewed to ensure the checklist data reflects the photo files and that the insurance form is properly executed. Photos of specific details, elevations, product documentation and other factors used to make determinations about building features are uploaded with the file. On-site investigations are scheduled with the homeowner, and courteous interviews are conducted.
Rapid Response & Efficiency: From the time the QA work order is received, inspections are scheduled and completed on average within 4.2 days.
As SkyeTec has worked with well over 200 clients and in the past nine years has performed more than 500,000 inspections, SkyeTec has a fundamental understanding of scheduling goals and deliverables. Therefore, SkyeTec has developed internal and external processes, documentation, communication and technological services to satisfy this type of volume and expectation.
Client and Homeowner Deliverable: SkyeTec Wind Inspectors upload the necessary insurance form and photos at the conclusion of the QA inspection. Mitigation retrofit recommendations are provided to the homeowner, along with an informational wind safety DVD.
Information Technology: State-of-the-art, web-based systems allow SkyeTec personnel and the client to review all photos and inspection data within minutes of the inspector completing the upload of the data. File review is available online to agents and underwriters via the paperless portal. The electronic document storage system is backed up on secure offsite servers.
